In this course the student is introduced to the wonder of the natural environment by looking at the organization of ecosystems, the diet of animals, food chains and food webs.

This science course is designed to introduce students to the wonder of the natural environment by exploring ecosystems – geographic areas where plants, animals, and other organisms in their habitats, work together to support the cycle of life.
During this course the student will learn how to classify organisms according to the food they eat into carnivores, herbivores and omnivores as well as discuss the difference between the classes.
They will also learn about the different organisms that make up a food chain and will learn how to organize organisms into a food chain. Following up on this, students will investigate food webs and learn how to construct them.
This course comprises of four lessons and is designed for students in grades 4 to 6. It combines education and fun in the form of several pieces of interactive content dispersed throughout the various lessons.
At the end of this course the student should know how to draw a food chain and a food web and their overall knowledge of plants, animals and habitats will be enhanced.
