During this course on development the student will explore the social, economic, environmental and political elements of development; development indicators and how they can be used to provide a view of a country’s level of development; the human development index and how a composite index is beneficial; the physical and human factors that affect the development of a country; and bottom-up and top-down projects and the opportunities and challenges associated with bottom-up projects. This course comprises of six lessons and is designed for students at the secondary school level from Forms 1 to 3.
It combines education and fun in the form of several pieces of interactive content dispersed throughout the various lessons
At the end of this course the student should be able to understand what is development and be able to explain the social, economic, environmental and political elements of development.
